FMCSA Puts the Brakes on ‘Hazardous’ Florida Driver

Published:

Today, the FMCSA announced the agency has put the brakes on a Florida-licensed driver, declaring the man an “imminent hazard to public safety.”

The FMCSA has ordered Devon L. House to not operate any commercial motor vehicle.

House was served the federal order on January 14, 2014.

According to the FMCSA, House was involved in three separate alcohol-related incidents while operating a CMV in the past 6 months.

“Commercial truck and bus drivers that put the public at risk will not be tolerated,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx.  “We will not allow safety to be compromised, and unsafe commercial drivers who endanger the public will be removed from our nation’s roads.”
