George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge To Close

Published:

Heads up, drivers.  The George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge is scheduled to close on Tuesday, July 8.

The bridge will be closed to all traffic for six weeks.

In addition, there will be no access to US 31 North and South, north of Court Avenue, however, one lane of US 31 South will be open for local access only.

The bridge will be closed so that crews can work on the “Indiana approach to the Clark Memorial Bridge with new US 31 entrance and exit ramps to and from Court Avenue to be constructed during the closure,” WAVE 3 reported.

Crews will construct a new flyover ramp from US 31 North to I065 North.  All northbound US 31 drivers will be detoured through Jeffersonville.

Detours will be clearly marked.
