Information is slowly coming in, but few details are bring released on a workplace shooting in Kennesaw, Georgia.
The shootings occurred at the FedEx warehouse located at 1675 Airport Road, near the Cobb County Airport.
The shootings began at approximately 5:45 a.m. Six people have been taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
Police are searching for the shooter.
FedEx issued a statement saying, “FedEx is aware of the situation. Our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of our team members, first responders and others affected. FedEx is cooperating with authorities.”
FedEx employees reporting for work are being turned away. The facility is on lockdown.
UPDATE: Authorities said the suspect has died of an from an “apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
