Recipe: Copycat Maid Rite Loose Meat Burger

Published:

I made these copycat Maid Rite loose meat burgers for my family last night, and they were a huge hit! Best of all, they’re super easy to make. Just throw all the ingredients in the slow cooker, and you’re good to go!

Ingredients

1 white onion, finely chopped
2 Cups of warm water
2 lb Lean Ground Beef (Or Ground Turkey)
1 chicken bullion cube
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp. dry mustard
2 TBSP of Apple Cider Vinegar
4 TBSP Worcestershire Sauce
2 TBSP Soy Sauce
2 TBSP Brown Sugar

Directions:

1. Pour all ingredients, EXCEPT BEEF, in the slow cooker.
2. Stir the liquid.
3. Add ground beef.
4. Cook on high for 3 hours. Stir occasionally. Break up the beef into small crumbles.
5. Remove lid and cook on high for 2 hours. This will help some of the liquid evaporate.

Use a slotted spoon to serve.

We recommend serving the loose meat burgers in hotdog buns.

Garnish:

Mustard
Pickles
Onions
