Indiana Road Closure Blamed on Fuel Outage, Long Line of Waiting Trucks

Published:

According to WISH Channel 8, Boone County, Indiana, police dispatchers say State Road 39 was shut down at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday morning because of a long line of trucks, waiting to pull into the the truck stop, were causing a backup.

Dispatchers told WISH that the trucks were lined up, waiting to get into the Flying J in Lebanon, only to find out the truck stop was without fuel.

Many of the trucks were out of fuel and were stuck at the truck stop.

“Police say trucks trying to pull in would then attempt to back up because the lot was full, and could not get out,” WISH reported.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
