Iowa Man Sentenced To Prison After Pulling Gun on Truck Driver

Published:

The WCF Courier reports that a man has been sentenced to six years and six months in prison after pulling a gun on a truck driver during a road rage incident.

Jeramia William Cook, 34, was found guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The road rage incident occurred on September 3, 2013, when Cook became angry with a truck driver who was backing across a street.  Cook threw a bottle at the truck and then pulled a gun and threatened the driver. Cook then drove away.

The truck driver called police and gave them Cook’s license plate number.  Officers found Cook and searched his vehicle.  Inside the vehicle, they found a pistol.

Cook is prohibited from possessing a firearm because of a 1999 burglary charge.

Cook will spend the next six years in prison.  After his release, he’ll be on three years of supervision.
