The WCF Courier reports that a man has been sentenced to six years and six months in prison after pulling a gun on a truck driver during a road rage incident.
Jeramia William Cook, 34, was found guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The road rage incident occurred on September 3, 2013, when Cook became angry with a truck driver who was backing across a street. Â Cook threw a bottle at the truck and then pulled a gun and threatened the driver. Cook then drove away.
The truck driver called police and gave them Cook’s license plate number. Â Officers found Cook and searched his vehicle. Â Inside the vehicle, they found a pistol.
Cook is prohibited from possessing a firearm because of a 1999 burglary charge.
Cook will spend the next six years in prison. Â After his release, he’ll be on three years of supervision.
