Kentucky State Police To Increase Car and CMV Enforcement During the Holiday Travel Season

According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police Post 16, troopers will be out in “full force” this holiday season to “ensure the safety of the motoring public.”

Post 16 Troopers, along with CMV enforcement officers, will be patrolling all the roadways but will be “saturating problematic areas” in six counties: Daviess; Hancock; Henderson; McClean; Ohio and Union counties.

The press release states that troopers will be setting up roadway safety checkpoints at various locations as well.

“KSP utilizes traffic safety checkpoints to promote safety for motorists using the public roadways and to provide a deterrent for those who violate laws contained in the Kentucky Revised Statutes,” the press release states.

Troopers will be looking for impaired drivers, equipment deficiencies and checking vehicle registration and insurance.
