Police in Rutland Town, Vermont say that an apparent road rage incident led to a man firing a gun at a passing log truck.
The incident occurred last Wednesday afternoon on Route 4.
According to the Rutland Herald, Michael Barnes, 23, is scheduled to appear in court today on misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment.
Barnes and the truck driver were allegedly both traveling on Route 4 eastbound when, when Barnes allegedly fired a handgun at the log truck. A bullet struck one of the logs on the truck.
The truck driver immediately call police.
A handgun has been seized in the case.
At this time, it is unclear what promoted the road rage incident.
