March Madness: Quick Look at Sweet 16

Published:

Here is a look at the schedule of games Thursday and Friday (all games are in ET time)

Thursday:

#11 Dayton vs #10 Stanford @ 7:15 on CBS

Well someone has to win this game. So either way it’s going to a team no one saw coming making it to the Elite 8.

#6 Baylor vs #2 Wisconsin @ 7:45 on TBS

Baylor is on a roll, but it’s going to take another great game to send home a Wisconsin team that is very talented and disciplined.

#4 UCLA vs #1 Florida @ 9:45 on CBS

Florida probably has the easiest road to the Final Four of all the #1 seeds, but they better not look past UCLA because this is going to be a tough game for the Gators.

#4 San Diego State vs #1 Arizona @ 10:17 on TBS

This is anyone’s game. Both teams enter the contest with only 4 losses on the season and while Arizona is the favorite. The Aztecs are going be making sure they don’t end the season with 5 losses.

Friday:

#11 Tennessee vs #2 Michigan @ 7:15 on CBS

Tennessee is a hot team right now, but they are going to need to be on fire to take down a Michigan team that one the Big Ten and has the Big Ten Player of the Year on it.

#7 UConn vs #3 Iowa State @ 7:45 on TBS

Iowa State is a great team and has one of the best young coaches in the game in Fred Hoiberg. But the Cyclones lost one of their best players George Niang to injury in the first round. They squeaked by #3 North Carolina in round two. UConn may be an underdog, but they have a real shot without Niang in the game.

#8 Kentucky vs #4 Louisville @ 9:45 on CBS

This is the game everyone is waiting for. This in-state rivalry is a big one. Kentucky is the only team to take down a #1 seed (Wichita State) in the tournament. Louisville feels like they were under appreciated being listed a #4 seed. The teams met early in the season and Kentucky won that game. So you better believe Louisville wants make amends for that. Grab the popcorn this game is going to be a lot of fun.

#4 Michigan State vs #1 Virginia @ 9:57 on TBS

Virginia may be the most underrated ACC Champion ever. They feel like they have a lot to prove, but they are catching a Michigan State team that is peaking at the right time. The Spartans have been killed with injuries all season. Well everyone is healthy right now and this team looks like it is finally playing with the potential everyone thought was there. A lot of people thing Virginia will be the second #1 seed to fall. Guess we’ll find out Friday night.
