Missing Arizona Truck Driver’s Body Found In Kansas City

Published:

We have sad news to report.  Authorities have confirmed that the body of missing Arizona truck driver Lawrence Murihead, 53, has been found.

Muirhead was reported missing in early October, after he failed to show up for his scheduled delivery on October 1.

On October 4, 2013 Merriam, Kansas police found Muirhead’s abandoned 2004 Freightliner at a parking lot in the 8700 block of Shawnee Mission Parkway.

This week, an anonymous tip lead authorities to search a Kansas City, Kansas home.

Once there, authorities made a gruesome discovery. They found Muirhead’s body in a freezer in the garage located at the residence.

Investigators said that since the body was frozen, they were unable to determine how long it had been there.

KSHB reported that Murihead’s family members said that someone who ate dinner with Muirhead the night prior to his disappearance came forward with information that might have been helpful with the investigation.

Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s name or the victim’s cause of death.

CDLLife will bring you updates on this story as they come available.
