Due to the impending poor weather we faced in the planes and midwest this week, we decided to test out the NOAA Weather Alerts – Severe Weather Push Notifications & Warnings app to see how it performed in the storms!
The app is available for $3.99 on iTunes.

After giving it a shot, we have to say, that we were impressed with the app’s capabilities! NOAA Weather Alerts provides quick notifications of severe weather using both your current location (utilizing the GPS capabilities of your mobile device) and up to 20 bookmarked locations – which you can easily add using the contact list in your phone!
The app also allows you to browse current advisories, access Doppler radar, receive push-notifications regarding severe weather anywhere from 100-3 miles away (depending upon your personal preference).
