The Missouri Department of Transportation Motor Carriers Services announced that the westbound I-70 truck parking area in Mineola is now open.
The truck parking area is located at MM 169. According to MoDOT, a total of 64 truck parking spaces are available, which is 40 more spots than previously existed.
Funding for the additional trucking parking spaces came from a $1 million federal grant to add more trucking parking along I-70.
Over the past several years, Missouri has more than doubled the number of truck parking spaces by converting closed weigh stations and rest areas.
