Discovery en Español is brining a new truck-based reality show to their new fall line-up, Texas Trocas (“Texas Trucks” in English), scheduled to air Mondays at 10pm E/P starting September 15th.
The new show is part of the channel’s top-rated primetime block Lunes de Motors (“Motor Mondays”) and follows the multigenerational Méndez family and it’s successful truck renovation business, Texas Chrome, as it transforms average rigs into traveling works of art.
Last year, cameras started following the family – a wife and husband, their two sons, their wives and five daughters – at their shop and around the city, taping for six or seven months all the entertaining drama involved in the dynamics of running a family business.
The family was discovered when the network was looking for a pioneering business in the auto industry that could engage their growing Hispanic audience with an empowering story of every day people living extraordinary lives.
