Ode to the Truck
You take him away
With your smoke stacks blowing
His hands on your wheel
And his smile it is showing.
He loves to hold onto you
And feel your rumbling roar
When he presses those Jake brakes
Straight down to the floor
All that I ask you
Is to please keep him safe
While you two are together
In your very special place.
I can say that I am jealous
As you do get him more
And I can say I miss him
The minute he walks out the door.
So please protect my driver
My husband and my friend
And we will be friends forever
Up to the very end!!
