Do you love fur babies? Do you want to volunteer to help fur babies in need of transport? Do you drive a truck? Well, I have just the thing for you.– Operation Roger: Pet Transport.
Operation Roger is a non-profit organization consisting of approximately 30+ VOLUNTEERS who are primarily truck drivers who take a dog into their cab and provide the dog a ride, along with shelter and lots of love, on its journey to its fur-ever home.
Operation Roger is NOT a rescue organization; it is a TRANSPORT organization, and what they do requires a LOT of time and patience in coordinating the delivery of the dog to the receiving family.
Operation Roger works with rescue organizations and individuals to help move fur babies off to their forever homes. The truck drivers are on routes dispatched by their companies, and, therefore, while it may take more time to get a dog to its forever home, they do the best they can to get drivers to where the dog needs to go.
If you are a driver, or know a driver who would like to volunteer to become a transporter, or if you would like to help by way of a donation, visit Operation Roger’s website.
Operation Roger requires applications for transporters and truck drivers.
This is a GREAT organization run by volunteer truck drivers to help get abused, mistreated, and sometimes left-out-in-the-cold fur babies to a new home where, not only do they be loved along their journey, but they will get Fur-ever loved by their new family!
Go on over to their webpage and give them a look. You can also join them on Facebook under Operation Roger “Truckers Pet Transport.”
And to the volunteers of Operation Roger; Keep up the GREAT work and we wish you all fur baby love!
