Oversized Load To Pass Through Oregon on Tuesday and Wednesday

The Oregon Department of Transportation is warning drivers in Oregon that on Tuesday and Wednesday night, an oversized load will be traveling through Oregon on I-205 and I-5.

The oversized load will be hauling two hydro dam gates from California to the Folsom Dam.

Oregon Departement of Transportation says the truck will only travel between the ours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

The hydro dam gate will be hauled on a 173-foot-long truck and will take up two lanes of the highway. Two pilot cars will be leading the truck and three pilot cars will be at the rear.

“The load will enter Oregon on I-205 over the Glenn Jackson Bridge, heading towards southbound I-5. It will stop at 5 a.m. Wednesday at the Oak Grove rest stop along I-5. The truck will resume its journey at 10 p.m. Wednesday and is expected to reach California before 5 a.m. Thursday,” Oregon Live reported.
