Pennsylvania State Police Release Information On Truck Stop Explosion

According to the Pennsylvania Daily Item, investigators have determined the cause of Monday’s explosion at the Penn Flying J truck stop in Turbot Township, Pennsylvania.

The Daily Item reports that on a truck driver was attempting to end his life by setting his truck on fire while the he was inside.

At approximately 3:40 p.m., an explosion occurred.

Emergency responders arrived shortly thereafter and removed the driver from the cab. He reportedly suffered “serious burns.”

The driver was transported via helicopter to a hospital for treatment.

The unidentified driver is listed in stable condition.
