Pilot Flying J Launches ‘Travel Well’ Healthy Food Options

Pilot Flying J today announced it’s launching a “fresh brand identity” and a new campaign called ‘Travel Well.’ The truck stops will now be offering more healthy food options.

“The initiative includes offering customers a variety of healthy food selections, a high-quality collection of hot beverages offerings and $100 million in facility upgrades. To kick off its new brand identity, Travel Well, a travel journey, will document various Pilot and Flying J customers as they hit the road for the holidays, embark on family road trips and more,” Pilot Flying J said in a press release.

Pilot Flying J says its expanding food options for drivers to include fresh, healthy meal options, including roasted chicken. In addition, many locations will now offer “coffeehouse-quality” beverages, including Brazillian and Hazelnut flavors.

“Providing convenience, quality and outstanding customer service is the cornerstone of our mission, said Whitney Haslam Johnson, Director of Brand and Customer Experience at Pilot Flying J. “Our primary goal is to always serve our customers with excellence, so when they asked for upgrades to our facilities and healthier food options, we were happy to deliver.”

In addition, the company announced $100 million will be spent on facility upgrades.

Upgrades are being made at more than 650 existing Pilot Flying J locations throughout the country, including shower upgrades, improved lighting, Italian tile, and custom-designed benches and seating.

The new restrooms will feature larger showers, new tile, touch-less hand driers, LED light fixtures and new toilets and faucets.

The Travel Well campaign begins today, November 3.
