The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced that on Friday, October 17, crews will close I-77 southbound at I-490 at 8:00 p.m.

The road will remain closed until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, October 20.

During the closure, crews will divert traffic back onto the I-77 bridge deck north of I-480.  Downtown traffic will be diverted via I-490 westbound to SR 176 southbound to I-480 eastbound to I-77.

“Drivers accessing I-77 southbound between I-490 and Grant Avenue will be detoured via SR 21 to SR 17 (Granger Road) westbound to I-480 eastbound to I-77,” Ohio Department of Transportation states.

In addition, the two left lanes of I-77 northbound, between Fleet Avenue and Pershing Avenue, will close at 9:00 p.m., on Friday.  The lanes will be closed until Saturday, October 18, at 6:00 p.m.

“Upon completion of this weekend’s work, all traffic on I-77 north and southbound will return to the pre-construction traffic pattern and the I-480 eastbound ramp to I-77 northbound will open,” Ohio Department of Transportation states.
