Schneider Increasing Tanker Pay

Schneider yesterday announced the company is increasing pay for tanker drivers.

According to a press release from Schneider, most company tanker drivers will earn an additional 8 to 10 percent per mile (loaded and unloaded) which is an average increase of $4,000 per year. The pay raise comes less than a month after Schneider announced a $0.10½ per mile compensation increase for tanker owner-operators.

Schneider says that the in addition to “providing consistent pay of up to $81,000 per year for tanker drivers,” the company offers great benefits and flexibility.

Unlike many other tanker jobs, 2/3 of all Schneider’s loads are nonhazardous.

“More chemical shippers use Schneider because of our drivers’ industry-leading performance,” noted George Grossardt, vice president and general manager of Schneider’s Bulk division. “They deliver a superior experience for our customers and drive their success, and we believe it’s important to reward that level of expertise.”

The company is seeking experienced drivers, recent graduates and OOs. Visit www.schneiderjobs.com to learn more and apply online or call 800-44-PRIDE (800-447-7433).
