As many as 1,008 Great Dane Trailers have been recalled because of issues with the brackets used to store aluminum J-hook cargo restraint plates.
According to the recall, the plates may break, allowing the cargo restraint plates that are stored on the bracket to fall off of the trailer. The fallen plates could be a serious road hazard for other vehicles.
Great Dane is recalling select model year 2013-2015 flatbed trailers.
Great Dane says it will contact owners to notify them of the recall, and that dealers will replace the brackets with replacements, free of charge.
