Semi Crash Spills 30,000 Pounds Of Red Bull On Florida Highway

Published:

Thousands of pounds of Red Bull spilled onto Interstate 95 in central Florida after two tractor-trailers collided.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened Monday evening when the driver, Jesus Fernandez, 43, attempted to move to the center lane because another truck was pulled over on the shoulder.

When Fernandez moved back to the outside lane, the tail end of his trailer sideswiped the disabled vehicle. The back of his truck tore open, and a reported 30,000 pounds of the packaged energy drink spilled all over the road, according to officials.

Fernandez was cited for failure to stay in a single lane. No one was injured in the crash and all lanes have been reopened.
