‘Shipping Wars’ Star Roy Garber Dead At 49

Published:

The larger-than-life star of A&E’s Shipping Wars, Roy Garber, has passed away at the age of 49.

Garber reportedly had a heart attack on Saturday night. Garber’s long-time girlfriend told media outlets that Garber had heart issues in the past.

Garber and his son, Travis, owned and operated Arbie’s Team Transport.  Garber quickly became one of the top UShip earners in the country.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family. Our thoughts are with Roy’s loved ones during this difficult time. He will be missed,” A&E said on the Shipping Wars Facebook page.

“The uShip team is shocked and incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Roy Garber.  While millions of Shipping Wars viewers will remember Roy as a bigger-than-life personality who knew what it took to get the delivery job done, many of us in the uShip family knew him as a personal friend.  He spent considerable time at our Austin headquarters, served as company spokesperson and was a long-time service provider on our site.  Our hearts, prayers and condolences go out to his family at this difficult time,” UShip stated.
