TxDOT is warning drivers to expect delays on Interstate 35W in North Fort Worth this weekend.
According to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth, on Friday night at 9:00 p.m., TxDOT will shut down the main lanes of the highway. The lanes are not expected to reopen until Monday morning.
The highway will be shut down while crews work to tear down the 35W northbound connector to the state Highway 287 bridge.
TxDOT has placed signs as far south as Waco, warning drivers of the closure.
“Northbound drivers will be moved to the frontage road at Basswood Boulevard. Southbound traffic will take Harmon Road to 287 southbound,” NBC Dallas-Fort Worth reported.
