Looking for new ways to stay fit while on the road? Interested in purchasing some workout equipment, but don’t want to sacrifice precious space in the sleeper? Ladder drills might be the perfect solution!
Shuffling through ladder drills is great way to improve your agility! Drills like these teach your body to accelerate forcefully, and also to decelerate properly. Thrive Training Systems coach, Sam Stauffer compares the exercise to driving: “Think of it like throwing the breaks. You should be able to stop instantly and then shift into hight gear a split second later.”
It’s best to start your ladder drills slowly since it calls for strong coordination between the mind and the body. Learning the steps to a drill is the most important part – once you know them, you can begin to challenge yourself and improve your coordination by speeding up and testing your dexterity!
