Product Review: RoadPro Slow Cooker

Published:

The RoadPro Slow Cooker is designed for, you guessed it, people who want to cook meals in their vehicle. It can also be great for truck drivers wanting to eat better and make their own healthy food!

To create your meal with the RoadPro Slow Cooker, just plug it into a 12 volt socket, throw all the ingredients into the pot, set on high, and let it cook while rolling down the road. The removable pot is easy to clean and the base handles make it easy to carry.

A special 6-foot stretch cord keeps the glass lid secure so your food’s guaranteed to stay sealed inside the cooker on bumpy rides.

Here’s a good video explanation of the RoadPro Slow Cooker done by an off-the-grid reviewer:

REVIEWS:

5.0 out of 5 stars Slow Mobile Cooking

Perfectly sized for cooking two man-sized meal portions. Low power drain on 12 VDC – works great for trucks, RVs, boats. Solidly designed and constructed. Not cheap, but worth the price. – L. Costa

4.0 out of 5 stars Cooks well; smaller than advertised

The first thing I noticed was the tapered pot. The exterior is a perfect cylinder; why did they taper the pot? I decided to check how much more this 1.5 quart pot held compared to my 1 quart pot. The difference was very negligible – about 1 cup of liquid. The pot actually holds about 1.25 quarts.Other than the small size, I’m happy with the pot. – jengirl

5.0 out of 5 stars RoadPro 12v slow cooker

This thing is great. I plug it in the 12v socket in my travel trailer and sit the cooker in the sink on a piece of that rubbery stuff that RVers use to keep things from sliding in cabinets. When I stop driving in the evening, dinner is ready. Great product. I just wish it was a bit larger. – bay dogs

4.0 out of 5 stars Such a little blessing

My husband is an OTR truck driver and this little crock pot is a joy to have. Saves LOTS of money over the course of a year with him cooking in his truck. He has used it almost every day over the last 6 months and the heating element finally died.So I ordered another one for him.. 30$ for the crockpot compared to 16$ a night at a truck stop restaurant Its worth the investment. Plus if he gets delayed at a pick up or delivery he doesn’t care cause dinner is only a few feet away. The only complaint he has is that on long days it is torture smelling dinner cooking as he drives. =) – Summer Baby

3.0 out of 5 stars A Bit Teeter-Totterish

I really enjoy this small portable crockpot! Instead of stopping at fast food joints while traveling, at least once, we can stop at a lovely rest stop, pull out the plates, and enjoy whatever good thing has been tantalizing us while we drive! My only complaint is that the three little legs on the bottom all it to tilt a bit, spilling some juice out even with the elastic band on it. Being a problem solver. I’ve worked out something, but if I was to buy another, I’d look for one with four posts on the bottom, not three. – Cathie in Florida
