Teen Steals Two Trucks in Kentucky

Published:

According to WKYT, a 13-year-old boy has been accused of stealing two trucks in Kentucky.

Authorities says the teen stole the first truck from a truck stop located off exit 94 on I-64 in Clark County, Kentucky on Thursday afternoon.  At approximately 8:00 pm on Thursday evening, he allegedly abandoned that truck on I-75 northbound near mile marker 97.

The teen then allegedly walked two miles on I-75 to exit 95 and stole a tanker.

At approximately 10:00 pm police noticed the tanker driving on I-64. Police say the teen was swerving and driving without his lights on.

Police said the teen was able to easily steal the trucks, because the keys were left in both the cabs.

The boy’s fafter filed a missing person’s report earlier in the day after he didn’t come home from school on Thursday.

“The teen is charged with receiving stolen property. He is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center. State police say this isn’t the first time he has stolen trucks in the area,” WKYT reported.
