A North Richland Hills man is dead after his wrong-way vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer in Grapevine, Texas – a little after 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 9th.
The accident occurred on an on-ramp to the eastbound lanes of I-635 from Highway 114.
According to authorities, the wrong-way driver who was been identified as 22-year-old Jorge Rico: was heading west when he collided head-on with the tractor trailer. Rico died at approximately 4:15 a.m. of multiple blunt force injuries. He was the only person injured in the crash. Alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in the incident.
I-635E was shut down for two hours as a result.
