At approximately 5:50 a.m. on Tuesday, a truck crashed through a guardrail along the New Jersey Turnpike.
The accident occurred in the northbound lanes of the Turnpike, at the New Jersey Turnpike and the Interstate 80 exit in Ridgefield.
When the truck hit the guardrail, it burst into flame. The driver was thrown into waters of Overpeck Creek.
The driver was hospitalized for “precautionary reasons.”
