Truck Driver Cutoff By Truck, Then Carjacked

Published:

According to San Diego 6, a truck driver who was hauling a load of televisions, was cut off by another truck and then carjacked.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 on Saturday morning near the 8500 block of Avenida Coasta Sur in Otay Mesa, California.

The driver told police that he was cut off by a truck without a trailer. The man in the truck approached the victim and “tried to persuade” him to hand over some of the electronics– telling the victim that he was there to unload the electronics. The victim declined the suspects request.

The suspect jumped into the cab of the truck. As the suspect was dialing his employer, the suspect slapped the phone out of the victim’s hands. Just then, another “suspicious” vehicle approached. The victim ran from the scene.

The suspect then drove away in the stolen truck.

Authorities describe the suspect as Hispanic, approximately 5’6″, heavy and wearing a button-up shirt and blue jeans.

The stolen truck is painted with blue flames on the side, along with the company’s name “Add Express.” It has California plates 9D10606. The trailer licenses is 4MM5320.
