A truck-train collision in Oklahoma claimed the life of a Modern Transportation truck driver.
The collision occurred late Thursday night at the Benton Street crossing in Davis, Oklahoma.
The truck driver, Bruce Brightwelle, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, crossed the tracks and struck by the Union Pacific train. Â The impact pushed the truck more than 1,600 feet.
Brightwelle died at the scene.
According to KOCO, early reports indicate that the railroad crossing guards were down and the signals were working when the truck entered the crossing.
There were no other reported injuries.
The accident is under investigation at this time.
