Truck Drivers Attacked By Bees At Phoenix Truck Stop

On Sunday, a swarm of agitated bees attacked two truck drivers at a Phoenix truck stop.

The incident occurred on at approximately 1:50 p.m., on Sunday at the Liberty Truck Stop located near 59th Avenue and Interstate 10.

When Phoenix fire crews arrived at the scene, they found that a truck driver who was transporting several hives of bees was attacked by the swarm. The driver was stung up to 20 times.

Another driver who was nearby was also stung.

Neither driver was taken to the hospital. Several others in the area reported being stung, though none required medical assistance.

Firefighters used foam to euthanize the bees.
