Two accidents on Interstate 55 near St.Louis have shutdown the highway.
According to St. Louis County police, all lanes of I-55 just south of I-270 at the Butler Hill exit are shut down because of an overturned truck that is on fire.
MoDOT reports that I-270 to Meramec Bottom Road is shut down in both directions.
Fox 2 reports that a second wreck occurred moments later when two trucks collided on I-55 northbound, just south of 141 in Arnold, Missouri. The trucks allegedly collided while trying to slow down for a traffic jam that was caused from the first truck fire.
