Two Suspects Detained In Connection With Truck Fire

Two men in Cumberland County, TN, are being questioned by police regarding a fire that destroyed or damaged two rigs and a pick-up truck parked at TLD Trucking off Interchange Dr. north of Crossville.

Firefighters responding to a 911 call had to force their way through locked gates as fire consumed the vehicles. An unidentified truck driver called 911 to report a man running from the closed business at the time of the fire then get into a 2010 Ford Fusion parked in the West lane of I-40.

Police were alerted of the suspect, and eventually tracked down the vehicle, which was headed down I-40 to the Plateau Rd. exit, then to Hwy. 70 N toward Crossville.

A 26-year-old Dunbar Dr. Man and a 19-year-old Town Branch man were detained and questioned by authorities.

The fire caused $140,000 worth of damages to an International Prostar truck, $15,000 to a second 2012 International Prostar truck, and a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 was listed with $5,000 in damages, according to reports.

It’s believed that one vehicle was set on fire and that fire spread to the second and third vehicles.
