According to LiveLeak user, erl2430, one of this trucks is stuck in the middle of this flash flood on I-15, coming out of Nevada.
So far, authorities have confirmed two people died in Nevada from flash flooding. There is no word on the condition of the van’s occupants.
Flash Floods can be very deadly. If flash flood warnings are announced, drivers need to take the warnings very seriously and avoid areas where flash flooding is being predicted.
From NOAA.Gov-
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT PEOPLE ALONG THE BANKS OF WASHES AND CREEKS SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. NORMALLY DRY WASHES AND STREAMS WILL SUDDENLY HAVE RUNNING WATER AND MAKE UNBRIDGED CROSSINGS IMPASSABLE. STREETS...UNDERPASSES...AND LOW SPOTS WILL BECOME INUNDATED MAKING DRIVING HAZARDOUS IN THE WARNED AREA. MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN MOTORIZED VEHICLES. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS...MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
