Truck driver David Fredericksen’s dash camera captured this scene.
Last Monday, a Lincoln Towncar t-boned a truck while attempting to merge onto I-10 in Biloxi, Mississippi. During the crash, the Towncar struck the truck’s fuel tank.
The crash caught the Towncar on fire.
Fredericksen, who was driving a short distance behind the Towncar, stopped to help the Towncar’s occupants.
Armed with a fire extinguisher, Fredricksen ran to fight back the flames.
He was able to pull a grandmother and a 1-year-old toddler from the blazing vehicle.
“I don’t feel it’s heroic,” Frederickesn told Jalopnik. “Really what I feel is when I first got out of the truck, I was praying that they wouldn’t be dead. I just wanted to put the fire out, but when I saw they were alive, I was like “SWEET!”
