Video: Superload Night Move in Connecticut

Published:

According to Pilot Car TV, this is ‘super load’ oversize load that was transported from Danbury to Branford, Connecticut.  The Connecticut State Police escorted the move. The load was 14’6″ high, 10’6″ wide, 132′ long and 220k pounds.  Connecticut requires oversize loads, such as this, to be transported at night.

“Three police cruisers run up ahead and shut down all intersections and on-ramps while 2 police remain with the load. This required a height pole pilot car as well as a chase making for quite a parade. It took us 3 hours to complete this 70 mile run. Route Survey and pilot cars provided by Patriot Certified Pilot Cars LLC,” the video’s description states.
