Three drivers attempted the world’s largest omelette on I-24 East near Monteagle, Tennessee on Sunday, November 9th – when a three truck pile-up resulted in the scattering of thousands of eggs, pallets of cheese, and meat boxes.

The accident, involving three trucks and two automobiles blocked the roadway, and smothered the area in 3 million dollars worth of food. The accident happened near mile marker 140 around 11:20 a.m. – fortunately, there were no severe injuries, and emergency responders were able to clear the roadway by 3:00 p.m.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the egg truck snapped an axle and overturned – causing a second accident between the drivers haling meat and cheese.
