America’s Deadliest Highways

Data recently compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration revealed that the deadliest highway in America is in Georgia.

The study showed that I-285 in Georgia had 26 fatal accidents resulting in 29 deaths — more than any other U.S Interstate in 2013 (the latest year that data was available).

While I-285 in Georgia might be the deadliest highway, the state of Texas is the deadliest state to drive in overall, with 3,044 vehicular crash deaths. Georgia remains the 7th worst state in the nation for fatal crashes.
