ATA, Healthy Trucker Team Up For 2015 Healthy Fleet Challenge

Published:

The American Trucking Association and the Healthy Trucker have teamed up to promote truck driver health.

The ATA is now offering the Healthy Fleet Challenge to all of its member companies.

Beginning now, ATA companies can compete in the Healthy Fleet Challenge with carriers in the U.S. and Canada.

“We saw in October at our annual MC&E how successful just a small-scale challenge was, so we wanted to expand it to all our members,” said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. “The health and wellness of our members and their employees and drivers is very important, so this friendly competition will help people fulfill those New Year’s resolutions and get in shape in 2015.”

“I participated in the Healthy Fleet Challenge at MC&E and it was great fun,” said ATA Chairman Duane Long, chairman of Longistics, “so I encourage all my fellow ATA executives to join in the Challenge now.”

“Let’s face it; the vast majority of us could stand to be more active. The Healthy Fleet Challenge is a fun and engaging way to get everyone moving – together,” said Glenn Caldwell, vice president of corporate development at Healthy Trucker. “Small changes to lifestyle – like this challenge – have a positive compounding effect over the long term.”
