The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) this week announced their calling for submissions for the 2016 Best Fleets to Drive For contest.
The annual contest evaluates carriers and helps drivers identify which fleets provide an exceptional workplace experience.
“Ultimately, the survey reveals the innovations that have proven successful in attracting and retaining skilled personnel in the trucking industry,” TCA said in a press release.
Drivers can nominate their fleets from September 8-October 31.
“By nominating a fleet, a professional truck driver is acknowledging that there are things about the company’s culture that he/she likes, such as outstanding compensation, safety practices, benefits, equipment, training, etc. If the company accepts the nomination and agrees to participate, the survey then digs deeper into its policies and practices,” the TCA states.
To be eligible, for-hire fleets must have 10 or more trucks in the U.S. and/or Canada. Fleets do not have to be TCA members to be eligible.
Finalists will be narrowed down into two categories: large and small fleets.
Winners will be announced in January 2016.
