‘Biketoberfest’ Means Truckers Can Only Fuel And Go At Florida Love’s

Because of the high traffic volume expected at the Biketoberfest motorcycle rally at the Love’s in Ormond Beach, Florida,  truck drivers are not allowed to park at the facility this weekend.

Thousands of motorcyclists are expected at the event, which takes place October 15-18. Florida police say that they expect the high traffic volume to back up traffic on US-1 and I-95.

Love’s says that they want to be able to provide fueling services for their professional drivers, but the heavy traffic expected means that they are unable to provide any parking for truck drivers. Love’s asks drivers to plan ahead for the event so that they don’t hit their maximum driving time at their facility.

Love’s has provided directions to help drivers to get back en route after fueling:

  1. When you leave Love’s parking lot, local police will be directing traffic and will only allow you to run right onto US-1.
  2. Go one mile north, where the Sheriff’s office will have a controlled turnaround point for anyone needing to go south.
  3. If you head north for approximately five more miles, you will come to Old Dixie Highway
  4. Take a right and go two miles where you can connect to I-95 north or south.
