Coleslaw Causes Dangerously Slippery Streets In Fort Loramie

Cole Slaw

At this time of year, you’d probably be quick to blame slippery streets on ice and snow.

Monday night in Fort Loramie, Ohio, you’d have been wrong.

A Shelby County Sheriff’s deputy was called to investigate a report of large amounts of lettuce on SR 705 only to arrive on the scene and find vehicles slipping and sliding in the intersection on what turned out to be a heaping helping of cole slaw.

As the fire department washed away the slippery slaw, a truck filled with the same slaw that was in the road pulled through the intersection. The driver gave the deputy the phone number for his company, 5 C’s Farm, and promised to check with the other truck drivers about the incident.
