A stolen New Jersey Dodge Ram pickup (with a snow plow attachment) piloted by a drunk driver is responsible for damage to two parked cars in Staten Island on Sunday night, (February 22nd).

According to New York Police, an intoxicated 38-year-old, Ernest Lapointe, was heading down Urbana Street (Dongan Hills) around 6:45 PM when he allegedly collided with a parked Jeep Cherokee as well as a Cadillac SUV. Lapointe then attempted (unsuccessfully) to flee the scene of the accident).

According to a computer check, the truck was stolen earlier that day.

Lapointe has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, as well as a DWI, third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle, and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.
