FedEx Truck Plunges 300 Feet Down Ravine On I-5

A truck driver was injured after his truck went off of the road on I-5 near Vista Del Lago Road in California and fell 300 feet down a ravine.

The incident happened around 5 a.m. today when a FedEx truck traveling south on I-5 crashed through the guardrail and fell down the side of a ravine near Pyramid Lake.

The truck driver was hurt but is in the hospital in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.

All but one lane of southbound I-5 has been closed since 7 a.m. They were expected to reopen around 11 a.m.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The incident happened just an hour before another crash involving a FedEx truck and a pickup truck driver left the pickup driver dead on another stretch of I-5 in California.
