Drivers who park at the Delaware Welcome Center near Newwark on I-95 will now have a new food option.
Road Hog, a Southern-style bbq food truck, and three other food trucks will now offer food services to visitors.
The Road Hog truck will be parked between exits 1 and 3 at the rest area’s main entrance from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the spring and summer months.
Road Hog was created in partnership with the Delaware Department of Transportation.
“We are thrilled that we’ve been able to achieve a menu of traditional All-American eats while putting a fun modern twist on the establishment itself,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Amy Dunne. “Our partnership with the Delaware Department of Transportation has opened the gates to a completely new, innovative world of travel dining full of opportunities that have the potential to be a hit among customers. The sky is the limit.”
According to HMSHost, Road Hog offers brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, smoked kielbasa, chili mac, sesame ginger cole slaw, dirty tots and more!
