Homemade, Chemical-Free Insect Repellent

It’s that time of year again– mosquitos and bugs are out in full force in many areas.  If you’re going to be spending a lot of time outside, you’ll need to apply bug spray.

While bug bites can be annoying and itchy, they can also cause health issues.  Mosquitos and ticks carry many illnesses.  Do all you can to prevent bug bites!

Insect repellent can be expensive, smelly and chemically! We found an all-natural insect repellent that actually works and smells good.

Make this bug spray ahead of time and take it on the road with you.

Ingredients:

2 ounces of Witch Hazel

12 drops Eucalyptus Oil

12 drops Peppermint Oil

10 drops Lavender Oil

2 ounces Distilled Water

These items can be purchased at most health food stores.

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a spray bottle and mix well.
