If you’re looking for a way to keep cool this summer but can’t idle or your APU isn’t working, check out these homemade air conditioners– they’re cheap and easy to make and they work really well!
Below are 3 videos for 3 different types of “air conditioners.” One is made out of a plastic cooler, one out of a styrofoam cooler and one out of a 2-gallon bucket.
According to the first video’s description, the air was blowing out 42-degree air into an 80-degree room.
To make these air conditioners, you’ll need a cooler, a PVC pipe, a small fan and ice. To power the cooler, you’ll need “a solar panel, a battery or an automobile (using 12v socket “cig. plug”),” the video’s description states.
