Category 3 Hurricane Joaquin is picking up speed. A potential for heavy rainfall and flooding is being predicted for Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and Virginia over the weekend. Regardless of whether or not the storm actually hits the East coast, the area can expect toe be thoroughly soaked by 10-15 inches of rain between Friday and Sunday. Winds are predicted to be around 75 mph, but could reach up to 120 mph. Those currently on the East coast are being urged to pay close attention to the forecast between now and Sunday.
