I-35 Ramp in Kansas City To Be Closed For 35 Days

Published:

A busy ramp in Kansas City will be closed for over a month while crews work to repair a bridge.

The ramp from southbound I-35 to northbound I-29 will be shut down from Sunday, August 16 through Friday, September 18. The ramp from southbound I-35/I-29 to Parvin Road will also be shut down.

In addition, there will be a lane closure on northbound I-29 over the Davidson Road bridge.

The closures will be 24/7.

MoDOT is recommending drivers avoid the area if possible. They’re suggesting a detour of southbound I-35 to Levee Road and then back onto I-29/I-35. Alternate detours include Route 152, I-435 and Route 210.
